David Matthew Dickson Swan
David M. D. Swan of Magundy, NB passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 22, 2012. David was born at Campbellton, NB in 1958. He was adored by many for his unique talents and intellect. He was a musician, artist, magician, historian, teacher, living history interpreter and actor. He spent the happiest years of his life working with friends who became his second family at Kings Landing. He will be greatly missed.

David is survived by his parents, Gladys (Dickson) Swan, Campbellton, NB and Dr. Matthew Swan (Sandra), Matapedia, Quebec; his sisters, Ann Swan-Boudreau (Ernie), Bathurst, NB, Jane Swan, New York, NY and Marie Valderrama, Montreal, Quebec and his nephews, Jeremy and Brett Boudreau.

Visitation was held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station, NB A funeral service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2412 Highway 3, Harvey Station, NB on Sunday, August 26, 2012 with Rev. Wendy MacWilliams officiating. Reflections on David's life were delivered by Jim Devito, Sheryl Bartlett and Jeremuy Boudreau as well as several other friends who were attending the service. Scripture was read by David's sister, Ann Swan-Boudreau. Music was provided by Michelle Daigle, Don Rigley and Kelsey Nevers. Interment took place at Harvey Settlement Cemetery followed by a reception in the church fellowship room. Memorial services were held for David in Halifax, NS and in Massachusetts at the same time on Sunday as well.

Honorary pallbearers were Elizabeth Devito, Loreen Scammell, Doug Scammell, Claire Bartlett-Laver, Kathryn Bartlett and Tasha Bartlett.
