Reta Lucinda Nicholson

Reta L. Nicholson of Ritchie passed away peacefully at her home on December 6, 2004. She was born at Dow Settlement on May 3, 1918, a daughter of the late Allen and Rachel (Patterson) Ritchie. Reta was an adherent of the Meductic Baptist Church, a member of the Nackawic Silver Stars and the Meductic Golden Glow Seniors Groups. She was a life member of the Meductic Women's Institute.

Reta is survived by four sons, Eugene, Ritchie Road, Ronald (Carmen), Nackawic, Curtis (Brenda), Upper Kingsclear and Floyd (Brenda), Ritchie Road; two sisters, Grace White (Mike), British Columbia and Emma MacFarlane, Fredericton; a brother, Sydney Ritchie, Ontario; grandchildren, Mark (June), Michelle (Chris), Randy, John, Robert, Emily, Greg, Lynn, Kyle, Katelyn and Troy; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Carrol in 1982, five sisters, Ada Lenentine, Ethel Mills, Laura Hillman, infant Alice and infant twin sister, Violet and four brothers, Freeman, Elwood, Percy and infant Donald Ritchie.

Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Thursday, December 9, 2004 at 2 p.m. Rev. Dale Greer and Rev. Allen Myshrall officiating. Interment will be in Hillman Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Mark, Randy and Greg Nicholson and nephews Aubrey and Dana Corey, Brian MacFarlane and Mac Ritchie.
