Virginia Faith (Estey) Stairs

Virginia F. (Estey) Stairs of Fredericton, NB passed away June 16, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital with family members at her side following a courageous battle with cancer. Virginia was born in 1960 at Fredericton, NB, a daughter of Carolyn (Morehouse) Estey and the late Wendell Estey. She was employed for 29 years with the New Brunswick Nurses Union before her retirement due to ill health.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Brian Stairs; a daughter, Katelyn Stairs (Brandon), Fredericton, NB; a son, Nicholas Stairs (Chelsea), Fredericton, NB; her mother Carolyn of Zealand, NB; a sister, Kelly Palmer (Carter), Middle Hainesville, NB; a brother, Derrick Estey, Fredericton, NB; step-daughters, Theresa Robbins (Derrick) and Tanya Brewer, both of Oromocto, NB; sisters-in-law, Christine Turnbull (Ronnie) and Catherine Stairs, both of Fredericton, NB; a brother-in-law Dwight Stairs (Kari), Durham Bridge, NB; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and her special furry canine friend, River.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her parents-in-law, Lloyd and Marie Stairs.

Visiting hours were held at Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, 129 Upper Stone Ridge Road, Zealand, NB. The funeral service was held from the church on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 with Rev. Terrance Brewer and Rev. George Clark officiating. A eulogy was delivered by Virginia's niece Chelsey Palmer and Katelyn. Interment took place at Zealand Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ivan Morehouse, Tommy Morehouse, Bev Roden, Wade Roden, Darren Chute and Billy Morehouse.
