John (Johnny) Edward Ratigan Chessie
John (Johnny) Chessie of Harvey, NB passed away on July 13, 2021 at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB. John was born at Newmarket, NB on February 2, 1944, a son of the late Frank and Mary (Donnelly) Chessie.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn (Harris) Chessie; his children, Tammy McGee (Tony), David Chessie (Shelley), Jody Chessie (Heather) and Kayla Schriver (Larry); eight grandchildren, Stacey (Dave), Justin (Sarah), Joey (Lara), Randy (Jessie), Cameron, Ben, Jenna (Josh) and Sarah (Justin); twelve great grandchildren, Brett, Emme, Lincoln, Harrison, Hunter, Everett, James, Arielle, Mikaela, Carly, Oliver and Violet; two brothers, Albert Chessie (Carol) and Joey Chessie; a brother-in-law, Danny Harris (Norma); five sisters-in-law, Brenda Little (John), Carla McCulley (Joe), Barbara Harris, Heidi Levert (André) and Valerie Mazerolle; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Harold Chessie and his parents-in-law, Carl and Avis Harris.

Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, dancing, mechanic work and time spent with family and friends. He was known and respected by many who enjoyed his handshake and friendship. He greatly enjoyed the fellowship of Bill and Dr. Bob and helped many people in this program. Johnny spent his last four years at Wauklehegan Manor and his family would like to thank all the staff for their love and care.

A private funeral service was held at Swan Funeral Chapel, Harvey Station, NB on July 17, 2021 with Fr. Monte Peters officiating. The first and second readings were by John's daughters Kayla and Tammy. A eulogy was delivered by John Little. Interment took place at St. Patrick's Cemetery extension.
