Daniel Vincent Copp
1948-2024
Daniel V. Copp of Harvey, NB passed away on April 16, 2024 at his
home. He was born on September 7, 1948 at McAdam, NB, a son of the
late Clifford and Charlotte (Piercy) Copp.
Dad worked for Grenzebach Group, located in Germany. He liked to tinker in his garage on his old Westfalia he was restoring. Mom and Dad enjoyed boating, prospecting and spending time with family, especially their grandchildren. Mom did hairdressing for many years, before switching careers and becoming a TA in the school system. She had a passion for helping others. Mom was an avid quilter and loved to knit. There was no pattern she couldn’t rearrange to what she thought it should look like.
Since Gabriel and Samuel were the older grandchildren, they spent many a weekend and summer with their grandparents. This formed a bond that was like no other, especially with “Grump”. Annie and Eli came a few years later and their love for the camp and spending weekend with their grandparents, was also a highlight to Danny and Patsy’s life.
Danny is survived by his children Michael Copp (Cheryl), McAdam, NB and Patria White (Patrick), Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Gabriel Copp, Samuel Copp, Eli Copp, Annie Copp, Ward White and Dean White; his siblings, Garnet Copp (Jeanie), McAdam, NB, Betty Matheson (Bert), Harvey, NB, Cathy Clifford (Barry), McAdam, NB and Neven Copp (Tanya), Christie Ridge, NB; in-laws in the Eales family, Oney White (late David), Brantford, ON, Dene Embleton (late John), Harvey, NB, Terry Eales (Judy), St. Croix, NB and Jim Eales, Edmonton, ON; several nieces and nephews, many friends and chosen family.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Patsy Lynn (Eales) Copp (June 21, 1949 … July 6, 2022); his parents-in-law, Arlington ‘Pat’ Eales and Ruth (Lister) Eales and his brother George Copp.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Rockland Cemetery.
