Kathleen Mary Moore
Kathleen M. Moore of Millville, NB, wife of Douglas G. Moore, passed away November 23, 2009 at Carleton Manor. Kathleen was born at Hainesville, NB in 1928, a daughter of the late Aaron and Atrude (Chute) Tucker. She was a member of the Millville Wesleyan Church and served as church treasurer for 45 years. Kathleen was employed as a secretary with Harry Greenlaw Ltd. and retired after several years with G & T Woodworking. During her retirement she and Doug spent winters in South Carolina and Florida where they enjoyed the company of friends from Canada and United States.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years; three sons, David Moore (Marilyn), Gary Moore (Toby) and Larry Moore (Carolyn), all of Maple Ridge, NB; seven grandchildren, Alaina MacPhee (Darren), Amanda McDonald (Colin), Matthew Moore (Julianne), Brent Moore, Monica Pike (Jason), Sonia Carter (Reuben) and Nathan Moore (Catherine); eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Violet Morgan (Partlow), Hainesville, NB; two sisters-in-law, Mona Tucker, Oshawa, ON and Marjorie Godsoe, St. Martins, NB; an aunt, Irma Marr, Burtts Corner, NB and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by an infant daughter, Violet Rose, a sister, Betty Morgan and a brother, Arthur Tucker.

Visiting hours were held at Flewelling Funeral Home 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service was held from the Millville Wesleyan Church, 3931 Route 104, Millville on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mark Cooney officiating. A Eulogy was delivered by granddaughter, Amanda McDonald. Granddaughter, Alaina MacPhee read a poem. A Tribute of Family memories, compiled by the seven grandchildren, was read by grandson, Matthew Moore who also read scripture. Special music was by Mark and Karen Cooney. Interment took place in Hawkins Corner Cemetery. A reception followed at the Millville Seniors Hall.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Matthew Moore, Brent Moore, Nathan Moore, Darren McPhee, Jason Pike and Reuben Carter.

The family would like to take this opportunity to extend thanks to the doctors and nurses of Upper River Valley Hospital and Carleton Manor for the exceptional care Kathleen received.
