Joyce Marguerette King
Joyce M. King of Harvey, York Co., NB passed away January 17, 2014 at Wauklehegan Manor, after a long battle with Alzheimers. Joyce was born at Harvey Station, NB in 1947, a daughter of the late Edgar and Della (Brown) Wilson. Joyce was a lifetime member of Knox Presbyterian Church. She was famous for her baking, especially chocolate chip cookies, rolls and homemade mayonnaise. Joyce was an avid historian of local Harvey families. She volunteered for many years at community events and with Knox church. Joyce was employed for a number of years at the Royal Bank.

She is survived by her husband, Dale King; her children, Andrew King (Sheila), Waasis, NB, Bradley King and Susan King, both of Harvey Station, NB; a granddaughter, Callia; a brother, George Wilson (Isabel), Hamilton, ON; a special cousin, Bob Wilson (Gertrude), Nackawic, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Betty and Irene Wilson.

Visiting hours were held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB. A funeral service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey, NB on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 with Rev. Basil Lowery and Rev. George Clark officiating. Words or remembrance were delivered by Joyce's daughter Susan. Music was provided by the ecumenical choir with Elaine Raymond as organist. A reception followed at the church. Interment will be later at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
