Gordon Hayes Coburn

Gordon H. Coburn of Harvey Station, NB passed away unexpectedly at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on May 16, 2016. Gordon was born in Fredericton, NB on October 23, 1971, a son of the late John (Jack) and Avis (McLeod) Coburn. Gordon was employed by Riley’s Lawn Care of Harvey.

He is survived by his loving partner, Samantha Cleghorn; two step-children, Austin and Ashley Cleghorn; two brothers, Allister Coburn, McAdam, NB and Laurie Coburn, Harvey, NB; two sisters, Myrna Brown (Larry), Harvey, NB and Darlene Coburn (Danny), Blacks Harbour, NB; a sister-in-law, Susan Coburn, McAdam, NB; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandmother, Mary Coburn; two brothers, Kenneth and Robert (Bobby) Coburn; an uncle, David Coburn; a great aunt, Flossie Coburn; a sister-in-law, Amy (Betty) Coburn; a nephew, David Coburn and a great niece, Morgan Breau.

Visiting hours were held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey station, NB. A funeral service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey, NB on Friday, May 20, 2016 with Rev. Anne Boudreau officiating. The Pastoral Prayer was by Rev. Terry Messer. Music was provided by the ecumenical choir with Elaine Raymond as organist with special music by Jordan Brown. The eulogy was delivered by Adam Little A reception followed in the church youth hall. Interment took place at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.


Honorary pallbearers were George Cleghorn, Paul Riley and Floyd MacNeil.
Active pallbearers were Mike MacNeil, Jason Gaudet, Jeremy Coburn, John Coburn, Jordan Brown and Adam Little.
