Nancy Marguerite Patterson
1953-2019
Nancy started her professional life as a court reporter with the provincial government and then joined the family business in 1991. She was very active at her church, Knox Presbyterian in Harvey as an Elder and a member of the Centennial Guild, was involved with the Harvey Settlement Cemetery, the Harvey Public Library, and Lakeland Industries. Nancy enjoyed travelling, loved to shop and always looked forward to her weekly morning coffee with her girlfriends.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dennis; her sons, Brent (Jillian) and David (Ashlyn) of Harvey, NB; the two special lights of her life, grandchildren Sawyer and Oakley; her sister, Linda Bigelow (Cameron) of Orillia, Ontario; her brothers, Peter (Marilyn) Wood, Allie (Norma) Wood, Ross (Cindy) Wood all of Harvey; six special nieces, Kathy (Jay), Karen (Ted), Jill (Jeff), Julie (Steve), Amanda and Sarah; six special nephews, Andrew S. (Nicole), Andrew W. (Bev), Sheldon (Christa), Wilson (Amy), Charles (Marcia) and John (Karen); several great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her parents-in-law Earle and Selena Patterson.
Visiting hours were held at the Harvey Lions Club, 4722 Route 640, Harvey, NB on Thursday, January 17, 2019. The funeral service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey, NB on Friday, January 18, 2019 with Rev. Anne Boudreau officiating. A reading in verse, An Extraordinary Friend was composed and read by Janice Moffitt. The eulogy was delivered by Nancy's daughter-in-law Ashlyn. The Dragonfly Story was read by Cindy and Sarah Wood. Scripture was read by Cameron Bigelow and Norma Wood. Music was provided by the Ecumenical Choir with Elaine Raymond as organist. A reception followed in the church hall.
