Lindsay Carroll Christie

1978-2022

Lindsay Carroll Christie
After a summer spent travelling North America listening to her favourite musicians and making the most of every moment, Lindsay Carroll Christie listened to her last song October 10th, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family and close friends.

Lindsay lived life to the fullest and never let the past 6 years slow her down or stop her. She never hesitated to tell friends or family the truth, even when they didn’t want to hear it, and she never complained or asked “why me”. She simply did what needed to be done and carried on doing the things she wanted to, and spent time with those she loved. As an Advanced Care Paramedic she made a difference in countless lives, whether treating a patient or helping a colleague - she loved her career and was damn good at it!

Lindsay will be forever missed and remembered by her parents Eric and Betty Lou Christie, her sister Tricia (Corey) Hammill, her brother Scott (Sandria) Christie, her nieces Victoria and Samantha Hammill, and Laneya Christie. Her little dog Gordie - she loved him more than anything and he loved her right back. Lindsay had friends who were her chosen family - Sally Cowan and Tracy Mellish. She also leaves behind extended family and a circle of friends she cherished and felt lucky to have.

Given the day she left us, we choose to be Thankful for the times we shared with her, the lessons that she taught us and that she is pain free and at peace. We know that our Lindsay is already causing a bit of trouble in the next life - we are sure we will hear all about it when we get there - as she loves to talk!

A funeral service was held at St. Georges Anglican Church, 53 Rockland Dr., McAdam, NB on Saturday, October 15, 2022 with Rev. Arnold Godsoe officiating. A eulogy was delivered by Sally Cowan and Tracy Mellish. Scripture was read by Patti Scott and Gillian Christie Look. A poem "She Is Gone" was read by Victoria Hammill. A Medic Flag was presented to the family and Lindsay's Last Call was heard. Many paramedics attend the service and formed a Guard Of Honor. Interment took place at Rockland Cemetery. A reception followed at the McAdam Railway Station.

Pallbearers were Adrian McIntyre, Andrew McLean, Michael Delaney, Jeff Sloan, Matthew Hall, Ryan Scoville, Justin Clark and Arthur Teale.

Lindsay worried for others and the tough times ahead, so if you would like to honor her memory, donations to a local food bank or helping someone in need would make her smile.
