Charlotte Harp Campbell
CAMPBELL, Charlotte Harp (Nee: Stoddard)
December 15, 1944 - March 5, 2023

Peacefully and comfortably, Charlotte passed away at Hospice Fredericton on Sunday, March 5th, 2023 at the age of 78 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Mac; sons Jon (Jane) and their children Alice, Gillie and Duncan, Chris (Nanda) and their children Sophia and William; brothers Jon (Cathy) Stoddard and Sandy Stoddard, sister-in-law Dee Campbell (Mike); as well as countless relatives and friends. She will also be dearly missed and remembered for her involvement with her church and many communities and groups.

Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Charlotte attended university in New England where she met and married Mac Campbell. Following a move to California they emigrated to Canada in 1968, spending ten years in Hazelton, British Columbia prior to a final move to New Brunswick, ultimately settling in Lake George. Charlotte spent most of her professional life in education, and was an instrumental force in the province's move to integrate special-needs children into regular classrooms. In retirement and until her passing, Charlotte continued an active life working with her church, spirituals groups, and faith communities, always with a passion for recognizing the right of each individual to live a life of dignity and fulfillment.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 12 noon until 1:30 at Riverside United Church, 6682 Route 102, Prince William, NB. A Celebration of Life with Rev. Alice Finnamore officiating was held beginning at 2 p.m. at the same location. Family remembrances of Charlotte's young life were delivered by her brother Jon. The eulogy was by her son Chris. Music was provided by pianist Brandon Nevers, the church choir and congregational singing. A reception followed at Dumfries Maples, 7520 Route 102.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations may be made in Charlotte's memory to Living Waters United Church.
