Judith (Judy) Ann Masson

1951-2023

Judith (Judy) Ann Masson
Judy A. Masson of Lake George, NB passed away peacefully April 7, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital with the love of her family surrounding her.

Judy married John Masson in 1968 who sadly passed away in 2005. They were each other’s lifelong companions, and she would describe him as her one true love. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, and nana.

Judy and John were blessed with two children: Lori and Chris. Her daughter Lori, “the protector” and her husband Calvin Hansen, “the son-in-law who never broke his promise to John to always take care of Jude”; her son, Chris Masson, “who always knew how to make her smile” and his partner Crystal Marotto.

She was most passionate about her grandchildren and will be forever cherished and remembered by Trusten (Abby) Hansen, Hayden (Katie) Hansen, Denise Masson, Jake Masson; great-grandchildren, Oaklynn, Cassidy, and Arlow.

Judy is survived by her mother Annie Currie; special aunt and uncle; Alberta and Art Murphy, aunt Edith; siblings; Shelia (Mark) MacDonald, Brian (Myrna) Currie, as well as beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Thank you to Mandy Cleghorn for helping out with the day-to-day tasks and on some days, just being there to talk and laugh.

Mom had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. Her favorite past-time was spending time with her grandchildren and when she did, her smile would light up a room. She was private, strong-willed, and stubborn, but those traits defined mom. That was a part of who she was and a part of why we loved her. We grieve her loss immensely but take comfort in knowing that mom and dad are together again.

A special thank you to Trusten, Abby, Hayden and Katie for helping Calvin and I through this difficult time; with all the preparations for the celebration of mom’s (nana’s) life. Nana loved you more than words can say and so very proud of each of you. Nana and Grampy are together now but will always be watching over you.

Judy never wanted to be the center of attention so there was no visitation, but a short funeral service was held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 with Pastor Eugene Morell officiating. Eulogies by grandchildren Trusten and Abby and Judy's daughter Lori were delivered. Her interment will be private at a later date.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Judy, the family has suggested the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Lung Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
