Brenda Elaine McCullough

1946-2023

Brenda Elaine McCullough
Brenda Elaine McCullough of Harvey, NB passed away peacefully after a brief illness, on April 9, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Brenda was born on March 27, 1946, in Harvey Station, NB, a daughter of the late John and Phyllis Swan.

Mom's role in life was that of a caregiver. Most of her life was dedicated to taking care of others. Selfless, loving, kind, and warm, you could always count on her.

Brenda is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 53 years, Blair McCullough. She was the center of his world, and he loved her faithfully.

She is also survived by her three daughters: Lisa Parker (Robert), Wendy McCullough (Joshua) and Shonna Russell (Len), her precious grandchildren, Charles, Lydia, Olivia, Julia, Michael, Kaitlin (Colby), Logan and cherished great-grandsons, Jaxon and Everett.

She also leaves behind one sister-in-law, Judy Coffey (Clarence), brothers-in-law; Warren McCullough (Thelma) and Carson McCullough (Dale).

Brenda thought of her sister Marlene's children as her own and treated them as such. She will be deeply missed by Elinor, Heather, Kala, Kevin and Rhonda. She will also be missed by nieces Rosalie, Stacey and nephews, Chris and Dean, several great nieces/nephews and other beloved extended family.

Brenda was predeceased by her best friend and sister Marlene Dunphy (late Donnie) and her baby brother, Murray Swan.

Brenda's smile was warm and welcoming, and her heart was full of love; she was beautiful inside and out. She enjoyed attending singing events with Blair, going for long drives, and doing her own home renovations. Easy-going, strong willed and incredibly resolute, Brenda was the matriarch of our family. She never forgot a birthday or other special occasion and always made you feel special. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, extended or otherwise, who grieve her loss immensely. Blair and Brenda were inseparable and always enjoyed spending time together. She was the love of his life.

A visitation and funeral service by invitation, was held at Harvey Gospel Lighthouse on April 12, 2023 with Rev. Hubert Perkins and Rev. George Clark officiating. A eulogy was delivered by daughter Lisa. Music was provided by Amanda Cole. A reception, hosted by the church, followed in the church fellowship room. Interment will be at a later date at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paige Leeman, Ryan Leeman, Colleen Leeman, Mariah Moore, Brody VanHorne, and Kailen Leeman
