Dwight Leslie Moffatt

Dwight Leslie Moffatt of Harvey, York County, NB passed away peacefully May 14, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was surrounded by loving family and friends in the palliative care unit prior to his passing. Dwight was born in Harvey, NB in 1948, a son of the late Leona G. Moffitt.

Dwight was quiet, dependable and always lending a helping hand. He was dearly loved by all and was a beloved “Poppy” to all his grandchildren. We will miss his kind spirit and dry sense of humour.

Dwight is survived by his children, daughter Jennifer Boyd (James), Norton, NB, step-daughter, Cheyanne Culbert (Timothy) Woodstock, NB and step-son Barry Wyers (Kim), Fredericton, NB; his partner, Sandra Hitchcock and her family; his grandchildren, Lana, Anthony, Grace, Harrison, Jacob, Jasper and Addison; special cousins, Allison Moffitt (Sharon) and Larry Moffitt (Melissa); step-sisters, Barbara Hatfield (Hal) and Marilyn Jamieson (Bob) and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Dwight was predeceased by his mother and step-father, Leona and Henry James and his wife Mary E. (Goodine) Moffatt.

Visiting hours were held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1926 Highway 3, Harvey Station, NB on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Interment followed at Harvey Settlement Cemetery with Rev. Anne Boudreau officiating.
