Steven John McArthur

Steven John McArthur was born August 9, 1955 in Brantford, Ontario and passed away peacefully at Charlotte County Hospital on June 22, 2023. He was 67.

Steve was a beloved husband, son, father, brother and papa, loyal to those he loved, dependable and hard working. If he wasn’t building or fixing something, he was probably helping someone or fishing. He was an avid outdoors man and a dedicated school bus driver and driver coach for more than thirty three years. He will be forever loved and missed by so many.

In addition to his loving wife of forty three years, Joanne (Johnston) McArthur, Steve is survived by his daughters, Keri (Matt) Klassen and Katrina (Steven) Enfield; his mother, Lillian McArthur; sister Geraldine (Gordon) Brine; grandchildren Curtis Russell, Sophie Russell, Jack Enfield and Dexter Enfield and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Everett McArthur and brothers Terry and infant David.

Visitation took place at Voice of Pentecost Church, 82 Harvey Road, McAdam, NB on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. when the funeral service was held with Rev. Stephen Tompkins officiating. Eulogies were delivered by Steven's daughters, Keri and Katrina. Music was provided by soloist and pianist Deborah Tompkins. Steven's fellow bus drivers and members of the McAdam Fire Department attended in a body and formed an honor guard at the church. Interment followed at Rockland Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearer was David Mersereau. Active pallbearers were Matt Klassen, Steven Enfield, William Johnston, Carl Griffiths, Stephen Priest and Curtis Russell.
