Halton (Hal) Roy McMullin

1952-2023

Halton (Hal) Roy McMullin
The family of Hal McMullin announce the sudden, unexpected passing of their precious, forever loved, husband, Daddy, Grampie and brother, which occurred at home on June 27, 2023. Hal was born on May 4, 1952 at Fredericton, NB, a son of the late Milton Lawrence and Ruby Della Isabelle (Embleton) McMullin.

He is survived by his wife, D. Ruth (MacKay) McMullin; his children David McMullin (Stacey) and Erika McMullin; two grandchildren Brett (Emmie) and Emme; his siblings Brian McMullin (Nadine), Gail Powell and Calvin McMullin (Janice); a niece Cindy; nephews Jamie and Ryan; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews in the MacKay family.

In Hal’s life his family came first. They were as cherished by him as he was by them. His family knew he was always there for them, thinking about what they might need before they knew they needed it. Caring for his family and their safety was the most important thing to him.

He was always up for a chat at any coffee shop or restaurant, to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Hal was well known in the trucking industry in NB and Alberta, having worked in various aspects since 1974. He was a member of SNB Trucking Association and Teamsters Union.

Visitation was held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 1 to 3 pm, when the funeral service was held with Rev. Terry Messer officiating. A eulogy was delivered by Hal's sister-in-law Mary Ellen Leeman.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Hal, the family has suggested the Harvey Fire Department or Harvey and McAdam Food Bank.
