Pansy Marie Carr
Pansy M. (Christie) Carr of Temperance Vale, NB passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on January 10, 2024. Pansy was born on April 16, 1953 at Woodstock, NB, a daughter of the late Ray and Marie (Reed) Christie.

Pansy had many many interests in her life. She was an Owner/Operator on Sunbury Transport and received a plaque for one million miles accident free. She was the ‘Boss’ at Donnies Restaurant and Gas Bar for eighteen years, where she worked as manager, baker, cook and waitress and even pumped gas when needed. Pansy was a mother to many. She enjoyed bowling, square dancing, knitting, playing softball, car racing, snowmobile racing and fishing.

Pansy loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed being around people, especially the younger generation.

She is survived by her husband Donnie Carr; her son Marty Sharp, Nackawic, NB; three daughters Melodie Lindsay (Andy), Waterville, NB, Lisa Kennedy (Paul), Fort St. John, BC and Jeanette Garland (Warren), Rossville, NB; foster child Marcus; two step-sons Duane Carr (Carrie), Wirral, NB and Scott Nason, Fredericton, NB; one step-daughter Krista Nason-Higgins, Boiestown, NB; twelve grandchildren Andrew (Melissa), Kathleen (Jean-Luc), Amber (Caleb), Riley (Airanna), Ashton, Noah, Jessie (Thomas), Luke, Nikki (Katelyn), Jessica (Craig), Andrew and Denver; three step-grandchildren, Dawson and Austin Carr and Lexi Nason; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Edwin Christie (Linda) and Leon Christie (Judy), both of Temperance Vale, NB; two sisters-in-law Cheryl and Judy; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pansy was predeceased by her parents; a sister Celia Sharp (late Stephen); a granddaughter Kerstin; an infant brother Aubrey; and a brother-in-law Leo Carr.

Visiting hours were held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service was held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 2 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ryan Farrell officiating. Words of remembrance were delivered by Pansy's granddaughter, Katie Lindsay. A reception followed at the funeral home. Interment will be later at Temperance Vale Cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandchildren Riley Sharp, Noah Sharp-Yerxa, Luke Kennedy, and nephews Davey Sharp, Derek Christie and Darran Christie.
