J. Lucille Mills

Lucille Mills of Fredericton, NB passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 21, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Her family misses her already. She was born on October 3, 1937 in St. Stephen, NB, a daughter of the late Dr. Leslie and Annie (Phillips) Brownrigg.

Lucille is survived by her children, Sylvia (Darren), Perrin, Ann (Steven), Leslie (Jacquee) and Sarah (Paul); her grandchildren, Chloë, Sephora (Mike), Kyoko, Jacob, Brynn (Griffin), Nate, Assiah, Simone, Nick, Sophia and Zoë; two great grandchildren Milah and Wyatt; a sister, Sylvia (late Lawrence); nephews Kevin (Melissa) and Reed (April).

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Stuart; a sister-in-law Laura (late Merritt) and a brother-in-law Ellery.

A funeral service was held at Brunswick Street Baptist Church, 161 York Street, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 2 pm with Rev. Kevin Culberson officiating. Scripture was read by nephew Reed Frankland and granddaughter Zoe did a reading. Family Words of Tribute for Lucille were read by Rev. Culberson. Pianist was Gloria Tranquilla. A reception followed at the church. Interment will be at a later date at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
