1946-2026

Gordon Arthur Hasson (arrangements added for Sept)
-- Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering and birthday party in honor of Big G’s 80th birthday on Saturday, September 19, 2026 beginning at 2 pm at Gordie and Ann's home in Southampton, NB.

Gordon (a.k.a. Gordie, Big ‘G’, The Pipe) Hasson of Southampton, NB passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the Upper River Valley Hospital. Gordon was born on October 28, 1946 to the late Walter and Ella (Pollock) Hasson at 6:00 am in the morning … “Walter, it’s another boy!”

He is survived by his wife Ann (Boyle) Hasson; son Jimmie (Brittney); granddaughters, Liliana, Jaymee and Blake; his very special friend, Mark Pridham (Kelly) who was like a second son to him; his siblings, Allison Hasson (Marilyn), Mary Craft (John) and Lynwood Hasson; sister-in-law Jane MacDonald (late Gerald); several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be forever missed by his grand dog and constant loyal companion, Molly.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Russell (late Thelma), Kenneth (late Tina) and Douglas; and by his parents-in-law, Jim and Georgie Boyle.

Gordon was a heavy equipment operator in his younger years but his true passion was owning and operating his own truck, traveling thousands of miles from Newfoundland to Alaska, covering most points in Canada and the USA during his thirty-six year career. He retired from trucking in 2015.

Following cremation, Gordon will be resting at his favourite location “The Garage”.

So many people to thank … our caring neighbours Patty, Kyle, Timmy, Paul and Kathy; Dr. Maryann Bramstrup for her many years of caring service; Rev. and Mrs. Brewer for their visits and prayers; Nackawic Ambulance and Fire Services; Woodstock Extramural Staff - Robyn, Krista and Brandon; Integrity Home Care; and doctors and nurses at the Upper River Valley Hospital. The many visits and phone calls from family and friends have been very much appreciated and totally made Gordon’s day, his cell phone was his life!

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Gordon, the family has suggested Louise Breau Memorial Medical Trust Fund or Nackawic Comfort Quilters (make cheques payable to Flewelling Charity Account with ‘Quilters’ on the memo line).

….. GORDON HAS RECEIVED HIS FINAL DISPATCH …..
