Maxine May Forbes
Maxine M. (Morgan) Forbes of Upper Caverhill, NB passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on January 13, 2009 at York Manor. Born in 1932 at Upper Hainesville, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Alberta V. (Carr) Morgan. Maxine was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church and the Women’s Missionary Society. She was an avid quilter. Maxine had a passion for children and took every opportunity to care for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, neighbors children and others entrusted to her care.

Maxine is survived by her husband, Peter H. Forbes; a son, Lonnie Forbes (Cindy),Upper Caverhill; a daughter, Louella Forbes (special friend Michael Durley), Upper Caverhill; seven grandchildren, Ryan Forbes (Amanda), Dawn Forbes, Mark Forbes, Katelyn Forbes, Bradley Pugh, Erika Pugh and Mariah Pugh; one great granddaughter, Makayla Forbes; three sisters, Etta Graham, Springfield, Viola Morehouse (Alvin) and Janice McHatten (Orval), both of Hainesville; three brothers, Emery Morgan (Carmel) and Partlow Morgan (Violet), both of Hainesville and Eldon Morgan, Fredericton; two sisters-in-law, Vera Morgan, Burtts Corner and Rachel Brooks (Irvine), Fredericton; a brother-in-law, Burton Hoyt (Amy), Hainesville; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Hoyt and Martha Morgan; four brothers, Loren, Marcus, Shirley and infant Floyd Morgan and a brother-in-law, Edison Graham.

Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Blinn officiating. Interment will be later at Upper Caverhill Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Burton Hoyt, Orval McHatten, Eugene Chapman, Johnny Anderson, Harold McKay, David Nozzolillo, Nicholas Nozzolillo and Anthony Nozzolillo.

Active pallbearers will be nephews, Joey Graham, Garth Morehouse, Robert Morgan, Shawn McHatten and friends, Roger Hoekman and Bruce Anderson.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Maxine, the family has suggested the Alzheimer Society or the Upper Caverhill Cemetery.

The family wish to express special thanks to the homemakers who cared for Maxine at home and the nurses and staff at York Manor for their loving and special care.
