George Peter Nowak

George P. Nowak of York Mills, NB passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at his home. He was born in Gleiwitz, Germany (Poland) in 1927, a son of the late Pater and Elizabeth (Gardyan) Nowak.

George is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Lefebvre (Guy) and their children Devin and Tristan, Ottawa, ON and Marianne Sims (Terry) and their children Diana, Mark and Michael, Scarborough, ON; three sons, Wolfgang Nowak (Debbie), Kingston, ON and their children Erik, Astrid and Ingrid, George Nowak (Donna), West Springfield, MA, USA and Michael Nowak (Carole) and their children Mica and Lukas, Harvey Station; one sister, Maria Gardyan (Ewald) of Germany; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his wife Eva Auguste Theodore (Kramer) Nowak on January 26, 2005.

Visitation was the at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station. Visiting hours on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service was held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Father Gerry White officiating. Eulogies were delivered by his daughter, Sylvia Lefebvre and by his son, George Nowak.
