Eileen Edna Gill
Eileen E. Gill of Hainesville, NB died peacefully in her sleep at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, September 10, 2012. Eileen was a daughter of the late Dow and Alice (Reynolds) Price and wife of the late Richard V. Gill. She was born on April 15, 1915 in Hainesville, NB, where she spent her entire 97 years.

Eileen was a gracious lady who loved life and lived everyday loving and enjoying her life as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbour to all. Her home was always open and welcoming. She loved making tea and lunch for all her visitors who never left without a warm hug. Family celebrations were the highlight of her life, perhaps that is why the grand celebration of her heavenly homecoming happened on her middle child’s 65th birthday. Eileen was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Zealand, NB.

Eileen is survived by her children, Murray Gill (Dorothy), Fredericton, NB, Eddie Gill (Doreena), Burtts Corner, NB and Norma Gene Jones (Wayne), Hainesville, NB; eleven grandchildren, Susan Drummond (Robin), Joanne Moore (Troy), Kevin Gill (Kristen), Stacy Bergin (Travis), Graham Gill (Jamie), Stephanie Milbury (Calvin), Darren Gill (Brittany), Richard Jones (Tammy), Michael Jones (Jana), Robert Jones (Bridget) and Andrew Jones; fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one sister, Bessie Glanueski, Riley Brook, NB; six sisters-in-law, Priscilla Price, Doreen Brown, Hazel Flemming, Hilda Jones, Alex Moran, Rosalie Tull (Phillip); two brothers-in-law, Stanley Gill (Gladys) and Kenneth Gill (Marnie); several nieces, nephews and neighbours, all whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Bertie Scott (Norman); brothers, Wilfred Price (Margaret), Hartley Price (Leona), Albert Price (Mary), George Price (Margaret), Aaron Price (Adelaide) and Horace Price; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Gamache (Robert) and brother-in-law, Jim Gill.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Archdeacon John Sharpe officiating, assisted by Rev. Watson Williams. Eileen's nephew, Rev. Carl Price delivered a eulogy. Words of rememberance, on behalf of the grandchildren, were by Robin Drummond, grandson-in-law of Eileen. Music was provided by Eileen's nephew Danny Brown and his wife Judy. A reception was held at the funeral home following the service. Interment then took place at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were all her grandchildren who held a special place in her heart. They formed a guard of honor as the casket left the chapel.

Active pallbearers were Barry Scott, Milton Scott, Dow Price, Billy Price, Roger Price, Peter Price, Malcolm MacDonald, George Glaneuski, Corey Price and Robin Price.
