It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bryan Allen McCullough announces his passing on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Thomas Hall, Shannex, Fredericton, NB. Born in Harvey, NB in 1949, he was the son of the late Avis (Johnston) and Allen McCullough. Bryan’s greatest enjoyments in life included woodworking, snowmobiling, four wheeling, long walks in the woods and spending quality time with his family. He was a long time employee of the Harvey Hospital as maintenance manager and also was a proud EMT with the Harvey Ambulance. He was a skilled carpenter, building several family homes over the years.
Bryan is survived by his partner, Trudy Donahue (and her children, Jordan and Tyler Donahue); his children, Trudy Chapman (Bob) and Jill McCullough; his grandchildren, Spencer, Abigail and Paige Chapman; his brother, Brad McCullough (Barb); his sisters, Caryle Hill (Bob) and Wanda Adamson (Steve); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Joe McCullough and an infant brother Kevin.
Although there will be no visitation, friends are welcome to attend a funeral service to be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2412 Route 3, Harvey, NB on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 2 p.m,. with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. A reception will follow at the Young People’s Hall.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the management and staff of Thomas Hall. Their compassion and care of Bryan was truly heartwarming and we are very grateful that they were there for him when we couldn’t be.
To honor Bryan’s memory, the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society to help find a cure.
The family of Bryan is honored to announce that his body was donated to science so that he can go on helping others even after his passing. His gift is truly an inspiration to all. A private interment will be held at a later date.
