Gail Violet Corey

Gail V. Corey of Bear Island, NB, wife of Leo R. Corey, passed away March 23, 2014 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Gail was born at Stanley, NB in 1950, a daughter of Violet (McGeehan) Yerxa and the late Gerald Yerxa. Gail enjoyed gardening and painting.

She is survived by her husband Leo of Bear Island, NB; a daughter, Leona Corey, Edmonton, AB; her mother, Violet of Mactaquac, NB; a sister, Geraldine Pike (Leslie), Temperance Vale, NB; two brothers, Danny Yerxa (Joy), Riverview, NB and Bev Yerxa (AnnaMae), Scotch Lake, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Bear Island Cemetery.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Gail, the family has suggested the Bear Island Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice.
