Luella M. (Mooers) Moorcroft of Temperance Vale, NB passed away September 26, 2014 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Luella was born in 1930 at Temperance Vale, NB, a daughter of the late Fred and Ada (MacFarlane) Mooers.
She is survived by her children, Dianna Tait (Lorne), Fredericton, NB, Brenda Tretiak (Bryan), Calgary, AB, Kenneth Moorcroft (Marge), Acme, AB, Debbie Christie (George), Central Waterville, NB, Stewart Moorcroft (Anita), Grand Prairie, AB and Stephanie Hoekman (Roger), Upper Hainesville, NB; fourteen grandchildren, Tommy (Debbie), Paul (Ashley), Heather, Krista, Bryan Jr., Tricia (John), Trista, Jason (Lucy), Belinda, Tyrel (Mindi), Kylie, Alisa, Jesse (Sarah) and Ashley (Devon); twelve great grandchildren, Kaylan, Lynden, Sawyer, Braxton, Taylor, Tianna, Pyeper, Raylan, Grayson, Mackenzie, Skye and Leah; a sister, Isabel Grant, Fredericton, NB; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Moorcroft in 2012; a granddaughter, Sabrina Christie; two sisters, Hilda Monteith and Evelyn Marney; three brothers, Lee Mooers, Edison Mooers and Hazen Mooers.
Visiting hours were held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service was held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 2 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. A Eulogy was delivered by a granddaughter, Belinda Christie. Music was provided by Rev. Johnson. Interment took place at the Temperance Vale Cemetery. A reception followed at the Upper Hainesville Community Hall.
Pallbearers were her son, Stewart Moorcroft, a son-in-law, Roger Hoekman and grandchildren, Jason Silver, Tyrel Christie, Mindi Christie and Devon Demerchant.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Luella, the family has suggested the Temperance Vale Cemetery, Canadian Cancer Society or the Temperance Vale Baptist Church ‘Carillion Bells’.
